C.01 Why Finesse

Where engineering, fabrication and craftsmanship are held to a higher standard.

We invest in equipment, in software, in training, and in the people who use all three. Three principles shape how the team operates, on the shop floor and in the office equally.

Value 01

Take responsibility for your work.

Whether you are an estimator preparing the bid, a draftsman issuing AFC drawings, a welder completing the joint, or a foreman closing out the installation, your name is on the deliverable. Proven skill earns greater responsibility.

Value 02

Modern tools, properly trained.

CNC lasers, a 170 t press brake, laser welding and MIG/TIG on the shop floor. Structural steel detailing and BIM coordination across Tekla Structures and AutoCAD project workflows in the drafting room. Every operator and detailer receives role-appropriate training before working unsupervised.

Value 03

Safety is non-negotiable.

ISO 45001 is not a wall plaque. It governs daily practice on site, in the workshop, and on every site visit office staff make. PPE is provided, toolbox talks are weekly, and anyone can stop a job they consider unsafe.

C.02 Growth & Training

How we develop people across departments.

A structured pathway for newcomers and a continuous-upskilling track for experienced staff. The shape of the path differs by discipline; the principle is the same.

Finesse workshop and drafting room

Pathways

  • TRAINEESupervised training.New starters work alongside experienced fabricators across cutting, welding, bending and finishing, learning each machine under supervision before working it on their own.
  • WORKSHOPExperienced fabricators & welders.Continuous upskilling on AWS welder qualifications, equipment-specific certifications, and progression into team leader, foreman and supervisor roles. Internal pay-and-grade reviews recognise certification milestones.
  • DESIGNDrafting, 3D & engineering.Training across Tekla Structures and AutoCAD workflows, BIM coordination, ISO 19650 information management, and structural standards including the Eurocodes (BS EN) and AISC. Detailers move into lead detailer and engineering roles with project responsibility.
  • OFFICEEstimating, project management & QA / HSE.Estimators progress to commercial managers, project managers to senior project managers running projects with several work packages, QA and HSE staff toward ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 internal-auditor accreditation. Industry-recognised certifications are supported.

C.03 Open positions

We welcome skilled applicants.

We hire across engineering, drafting and 3D, fabrication and welding, site installation, QA and HSE, project management, estimating, and office and accounts. Rather than maintain a job list that goes out of date, we keep every application on file and contact you when a suitable role becomes available.

If you are a qualified professional, attach your certificates and qualifications. If you are applying for an apprenticeship with no prior experience, tell us about any practical or technical work you have done, the software or equipment you would like to learn, and why steel.

C.05 Working at Finesse

A working environment built on skill and precision. Deadlines met, documents complete, handover clean.

Way of working 01

Methodical, not hurried.

Engineering prepares the structural calculations, drafting issues the AFC drawings, fabrication works to those drawings, and the site team closes out against the as-built. Each stage is reviewed and completed before the next begins. Deadlines are met by planning, not by rushing the final week.

Way of working 02

Documentation is part of the job.

Mill certs, WPS, NDT reports, as-builts, completion certificates, photographs. Every project closes with a handover pack ready for DM and DCD sign-off. Documentation is recorded as the work happens, not reconstructed at the end.

Way of working 03

Connected from design to installation.

RKM Compound, Al Quoz 3. Our drafting room, project office and fabrication bays share one base, so the engineer who prepared the calculations works alongside the welder who completes the joint. Engineering, detailing, project management, fabrication and installation stay connected throughout each project. We coordinate specialist finishing with external partners where required.
