Type 01

Machine

CNC press brake with computer-controlled back-gauge. Programmable bend sequences, accurate, repeatable positioning every cycle.

  • 170 t tonnage
  • 3,200 mm bed length
  • +/- 0.2 degree repeatability

Type 02

Capacity

Indicative bending limits. Final capability depends on material grade, V-die selection, and bend geometry.

  • Mild steel to 10 mm full length
  • Stainless to 6 mm full length
  • Aluminium to 8 mm full length

Type 03

Tooling

Standard dies cover most everyday profiles. Custom dies are made in-house for unusual radii or part-specific angles, then kept on file for repeat runs.

  • Standard die library
  • Custom dies in-house
  • Dies retained for repeat runs

B.01 Detail

First article, then the run.

Typical tolerances are +/- 0.5 degrees on bend angle and +/- 0.2 to +/- 0.5 mm on flange dimensions, to ISO 2768 medium (m) as standard or fine (f) on request. Tighter is possible after first-article approval.

Setup, programming, and first-article inspection happen before the production run starts. The V-die opening is sized to the material thickness and grade so bend lines do not crack, especially on harder grades and thicker plate.

CNC Bending FAQs (Dubai)

Finesse runs CNC press brake bending in-house, paired with our laser cutting and welding lines. We bend sheet and plate metal for structural components, enclosures, architectural panels, brackets, ducting, and custom fabrications, with tight repeatability under our ISO 9001 quality system.

What is CNC press brake bending?

A CNC press brake bends sheet metal to a precise angle using a top punch and a matching bottom V-die, with a computer-controlled back-gauge for accurate, repeatable positioning. Compared with manual bending, CNC bending gives consistent angles part-to-part, accurate flange dimensions, and the ability to bend complex multi-step profiles in one setup.

What is the maximum length and thickness you can bend?

Indicative bending capacity (final capability depends on material grade and bend geometry):

  • Maximum bend length: up to 3,000 mm to 4,000 mm
  • Mild steel thickness: up to around 10 mm for full-length bends, thicker for shorter bends
  • Stainless steel: up to around 6 mm at full length
  • Aluminium: up to around 8 mm at full length

Share your drawing or part dimensions and we will confirm exact capability and the best bend sequence for your job.

What tolerances do you achieve?

Typical CNC bending tolerances:

  • Bend angle: +/- 0.5 degrees on production runs
  • Flange dimensions: +/- 0.2 mm to +/- 0.5 mm depending on material and thickness
  • General dimensional tolerance: ISO 2768 medium (m) as standard, fine (f) on request

Tighter tolerances are achievable after first-article approval on repeating production parts.

What materials can you bend?

  • Mild steel (hot-rolled and cold-rolled)
  • Stainless steel 304 and 316
  • Galvanized sheet (with care to protect the zinc layer)
  • Aluminium

We size the V-die opening to the material thickness and grade to avoid cracking on bend lines, especially on harder grades and thicker plate.

Do you have the right die for unusual bend profiles?

Our in-house tooling library covers the standard die sets used for most everyday bend profiles — mild steel and stainless brackets, enclosures, channels, architectural panels, and similar work. For anything outside the standard range — an unusual radius, a non-standard angle, or a profile specific to your part — we manufacture a custom die in-house to suit your drawing. The custom die is built once and then kept on file for any repeat runs of the same part.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

No fixed minimum. We bend prototypes, one-off custom parts, and production batches. A minimum setup charge per job covers machine programming and tool changes. For repeating production work, the first article is checked against the drawing and any required adjustments are made before the run continues.

What file formats do you accept for bending jobs?

DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES and PDF. Send what you have. If you only have a sketch, a photo or a sample part, our drafting team can re-draw it in CAD with bend allowances added before quoting. For repeat jobs we keep the part on file so a re-order takes one email.

Why choose Finesse for CNC bending in Dubai?

  • Integrated cut-bend-weld workflow. Parts move straight from laser cutting to press brake to welding without leaving our workshop.
  • ISO 9001 quality control. First-article inspection and dimensional check on production runs.
  • Standard and custom dies. Standard dies cover most everyday bend profiles; custom dies made in-house for unusual radii, angles, or part-specific profiles.
  • Material sourcing handled. We supply the steel or work with material you provide.
  • Single-vendor accountability. One point of contact for cut, bent, welded, and finished parts.
