- 01Information you send through the enquiry form.Your name, email address, phone number, the project type you select, the message you write, and any files you attach (drawings, photographs or specifications, up to 20 MB). This reaches us by email at info@finessesteelfab.com.

- 03Information collected automatically as you browse.Your approximate location (derived from a truncated IP address), browser and device type, the pages you view, how you arrived at the site, and the date and time. Our web server also keeps standard access logs, which include the full IP address, for security and troubleshooting.
P.03 Why we use it
Purpose, and the legal basis for it.
UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (the Personal Data Protection Law) requires a lawful basis for processing personal data. Ours are set out below, with the equivalent basis under the EU and UK GDPR named alongside for visitors to whom those laws apply.
- QUOTESAnswering your enquiry and preparing a quotation.Necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract, and to perform that contract if you go ahead. GDPR Article 6(1)(b).
- HIRINGAssessing your job application.Necessary to take steps at your request before entering an employment contract. Where we keep your CV on file for future openings, we do that on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(a).
- SECURITYKeeping the site and our forms working and free of abuse. Our legitimate interest in protecting the website, blocking spam and malicious submissions, and keeping records of what happened. GDPR Article 6(1)(f).
- ANALYTICSUnderstanding which pages are useful. Our legitimate interest in measuring, at an aggregate level, how the site is used so we can improve it. We do not use analytics to identify individuals. GDPR Article 6(1)(f). See P.04 for how to opt out.
- LEGALMeeting our own legal and accounting obligations.Where a law, a regulator or a tax authority requires us to keep or produce records. GDPR Article 6(1)(c).
P.04 Cookies and analytics
What runs in your browser, stated plainly.
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages get read. IP anonymisation is switched on, so your address is truncated before it is stored. There are no advertising tags, no remarketing pixels, and no cross-site tracking on this website.
- NO BANNERAnalytics runs without asking you first. We have chosen not to show a cookie consent banner. Under the UAE PDPL this analytics use rests on our legitimate interest rather than your consent. If you are in the EU or UK, where the rules on cookie consent are stricter, you can switch it off using either method below and nothing on the site will stop working.
- OPT OUTTurn analytics off in your browser.Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or block analytics cookies in your browser settings, or use your browser's private mode. Any of these prevents this site from recording your visit.
- OTHERCookies set by embedded services. The spam check on our forms, the map on the About page, and the Google reviews panel are supplied by Cloudflare and Google and may set their own cookies when those parts of a page load. See P.05.
P.05 Third parties
Who else sees anything, and why.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. The only third parties involved are the services that make the website function, listed here in full.
- GOOGLEGoogle Analytics.Aggregate visit statistics, with IP anonymisation enabled.
- CLOUDFLARETurnstile. The human check on our contact and careers forms. It sees your IP address and basic browser signals in order to tell a person from a bot. It is not a tracking tool.
- GOOGLEMaps and Business Profile reviews. The workshop map on our About page and the customer reviews panel are embedded from Google. Loading them tells Google that a browser requested that content.
- HOSTINGOur web host and mail server. The site and our email are hosted on managed servers. The provider stores the site files, the access logs and the messages our forms send us, strictly to provide that service to us.
- ADVISERSProfessional advisers and authorities. We may disclose information to our accountants, auditors or lawyers, or to a government body, where the law requires it or to establish or defend a legal claim.
P.06 International transfers
Some data leaves the UAE.
Google and Cloudflare operate global networks, so information handled by the services in P.05 may be processed on servers outside the United Arab Emirates. Both companies publish data protection terms that commit them to recognised safeguards, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses where those apply. Your enquiry and application emails themselves are held on our own hosted mailboxes.
P.07 How long we keep it
We keep it while it is useful, then no longer.
Retention periods run from your last contact with us. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will unless we are legally required to keep it.
- ENQUIRIESEnquiries that did not become a project.Kept for up to 24 months, so we can pick up the thread if you come back to us.
- PROJECTSQuotations, drawings and records for work we carried out.Kept for the life of the contract and then as long as UAE commercial and tax law requires, which is generally a further 5 years.
- APPLICANTSJob applications.Kept for 12 months after the role is filled, so we can consider you for similar openings. Tell us if you would rather we deleted your application straight away.
- LOGSServer access logs.Kept in monthly files on a short rolling cycle for security and troubleshooting, then overwritten.
- ANALYTICSAnalytics data.Retained by Google Analytics in aggregate form under our configured retention setting. It does not identify you.
P.08 How we protect it
Practical measures, not promises.
The whole site is served over HTTPS. Our forms carry several layers of protection: a human check, submission rate limits, strict validation of the file types you can upload, a malicious-link scan, and virus scanning where available. Access to enquiry and application mailboxes is limited to the staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affected your personal data we would notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
P.09 Your rights
What you can ask us to do.
Under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law you have the rights below. Email info@finessesteelfab.com to use any of them. We will respond within 30 days and we will not charge you for it. We may need to confirm your identity first, so that we do not disclose your data to someone else.
- ACCESSAsk what we hold.Request a copy of your personal data and information about how it is processed.
- CORRECTFix what is wrong.Have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected.
- DELETEAsk us to erase it.Have your personal data deleted, unless we are required to keep it.
- RESTRICTPause the processing.Ask us to stop using your data while a question about it is resolved.
- OBJECTObject to how we use it.Object to processing based on our legitimate interest, including analytics.
- PORTTake it with you.Receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or have it sent to another controller where that is technically possible.
- WITHDRAWChange your mind.Withdraw consent at any time where our processing relies on it. This does not affect anything done before you withdrew.
- COMPLAINEscalate it.Complain to the UAE Data Office if you believe we have handled your data unlawfully. We would ask you to raise it with us first so we have a chance to put it right.
P.10 EU and UK visitors
If the GDPR applies to you.
We are established in the United Arab Emirates and our work is carried out in the UAE, so the GDPR will not apply to most visits. Where it does apply, the rights in P.09 map onto Articles 15 to 22 of the EU and UK GDPR and we will honour them on the same terms. The legal bases we rely on are named in P.03. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority, or with the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK.
P.11 Children
This is not a site for children.
Our services are sold to property owners, contractors and businesses, and our vacancies are open to adults. We do not aim this website at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their information, email us and we will delete it.
P.12 Changes and contact
Getting in touch about your data.
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and move the date below. Material changes will be flagged on the page itself. For any question, correction or request, write to info@finessesteelfab.com or use the details in P.01, and mark it for the attention of the data protection contact.
