L.01 Detail
The drawing decides the part.
Standard cut tolerance is +/- 0.1 mm to +/- 0.2 mm depending on material and thickness, meeting ISO 9013 thermal cutting Class 1 to 2. Tighter is possible after process optimisation on production runs.
Send DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES, or even a marked-up PDF. If you only have a sketch or a sample part, our design team will re-draw it in CAD. We nest multiple parts on one sheet to reduce waste and unit cost.
CNC Laser Cutting FAQs (Dubai)
Finesse runs an in-house CNC laser cutting service for sheet and plate metal. We cut to your DXF, DWG, or STEP files for architectural panels, structural plates, signage, industrial components, gates, screens, and custom architectural metalwork. Quality is controlled under our ISO 9001 system.
What materials can you laser cut?
We laser cut a full range of common metals:
- Mild steel (carbon steel) sheets and plates
- Stainless steel grades 304 and 316
- Aluminium sheet
- Alloy steel
- Galvanized sheet
- Brass and copper
We do not laser cut gold or other precious metals.
What is the maximum thickness and sheet size you can cut?
Indicative cutting capacities:
- Mild steel: up to 50 mm thickness
- Stainless steel: up to 20 mm
- Aluminium: up to 20 mm
- Alloy steel: up to 16 mm
- Brass and copper: up to 12 mm
- Standard sheet bed: 1500 mm x 3000 mm, larger formats on request
Send us your material and thickness and we will confirm capability and the best edge quality grade for your application.
What cutting tolerances do you achieve?
Standard cut tolerance is typically +/- 0.1 mm to +/- 0.2 mm depending on material and thickness, which meets ISO 9013 thermal cutting tolerance Class 1 to 2. For tight architectural or production work we can hold tighter tolerances after process optimisation. Cut edges are clean, square, and require minimal secondary finishing.
Can you cut from my CAD files?
Yes. We accept DXF, DWG, STEP, IGES, and PDF files. If you only have a sketch or a sample part, our design team can re-draw it in CAD for you. We can also nest multiple parts onto one sheet to reduce material waste and lower your unit cost.
What is the typical turnaround for laser cutting?
Most small to medium jobs are cut and ready for collection or delivery within 1 to 3 working days. Same-day cutting is possible for urgent jobs when material is in stock. Large production orders are scheduled based on quantity, finishing, and bending requirements.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No fixed minimum. We cut one-off prototypes, small batches, and full production runs. There is a minimum setup charge per job to cover machine programming and material handling, which becomes proportionally smaller as quantity goes up.
